INDEX: AWARD 2005

The inaugural INDEX: Award received 538 nominations from 43 countries and from these nominations, the INDEX: Award Jury selected the 116 best as ‘Top Nominees’ (the term Finalist was not inaugurated until 2007). INDEX: Award 2005 showed that even though Design to Improve Life was a new concept at the time, the designers of the world had no problems coming up with a broad scope of design-based, innovative solutions to some of societies’ largest challenges. The winners were announced in August 2005 at Copenhagen City Hall.
